Longtime no see

Today I received a message on facebook from my friend Robin who had moved away years ago. After a few moments of chatting online Robin wanted to chat on the phone. The sound of her voice, made me feel like she was right next door. We talked and laughed about past experiences and long forgotten jokes....it was fun. Hopefully we wont let time pass us by before we chat again...Life's too short.

6 Degrees of seperation

Today on the drive home from work,my coworker/roommate pointed at a house along route and said that the person who lives in that house is Donny's Uncle Robert. Donny is another roommate of mine, who had just moved in about a month ago. The odd part of this story was that my cousin Teresa married into a family who was also related to Donny's uncle Robert...which would make Donny, not only my roommate but also a distant relative of mine. All I could say was...WOW!

Be yourself

Partners Lounge in Portage has the best atmosphere I have ever experienced. The bar is nicely decorated with a modern motif and the clientele is a great mixture of nonjudgmental people who just want to have a good time. I highly recommend this place to just "Be Yourself."

After Bar Party

Last night,a group of us decided to walk down to the local bar to have a few drinks. After slamming several shots and chugging from whatever pitcher was on the table,we began to draw a crowd around us. The next thing I know there was a convoy of cars following us to my one bedroom apartment for an unexpected after bar party. I explained to everyone that we didn't have much seating but to make themselves comfortable. The following morning I stumbled out of bed and headed towards the kitchen for something to drink, only to find that all the glasses had been used up from the night before. So I ended up drinking diet sprite out of a wine glass.
It was all worth it though,because we made some new friends and we all had a good time.

Unexpected Changes

For my blog today,I'm going to speak about the unexpected. Sometimes it can be good or bad....but it will always happen. What matters is how we interpret the results. It's easy to pat someone on the back and say..."Oh will be alright." Or that..."Everything happens for a reason." The truth of the matter is....life has no set rules....some days are bad and some days are unbelievably great!
It's up to us, which one we want to focus on....whether we want to focus on the negative or the positive. I choose the positive.
